In order to get into medical school you have to take the pre-requisite courses
1 year of Biology
1 year of Chemistry
1 year of Physics
1 year of Organic Chemistry
Some medical schools also require biochemistry, a year of math (calculus and statistics), and a year of english.
Make sure to keep your GPA high (over 3.5) and to do well on your MCATs (at least 30). Remember that you have to have a Bachelor’s degree to get into medical school, so you do have to pick a major and finish the degree (but it can be anything you want :) )

A family practitioner is a medical doctor. You need to get an undergrad degree in premed or another hard science, depending on the med school you wish to attend. You will then need to go to medical school.

Depends on the school. I recommend going to their advisor to help you organize what you need to do.
