What should a junior in high school do to prepare for college?

No Boundaries December 28, 2009 at 3:37 pm: u should have started this already like at the beginning of ur junior year most students start doing this at the beginning of junior year so that they can be sure they get the scholarship before they get accepted into a college in senior year. btw, that website the other guy told you to use is full of spam and scams, not the best website to look for scholarships. but you should definitely learn how to write your essay and start getting teachers to write recommendations after you apply for a scholarship.
krjit December 28, 2009 at 4:11 pm: 1. In order to prepare for scholarships, you should begins looking for them. I recommend a service like FastWeb.com (free) in order to begin searching.

2. Prepare your letter of recommendations by figuring out who you want to ask. Ask early. Even if your college doesn’t require it, some scholarships do.

3. Get a feel for writing college essays (some scholarships require this too). Learn what kinds of prompts are asked for and how to write to them.
