Make decisions like what you want to be, your major, and narrow down a few colleges. Sign up for their mailing lists etc..

nope that’s perfect amount of time. get in a club or do an after school activity that makes you sound dedicated (if you do anything for 2 years they’ll believe you’re dedicated). raise that GPA as best as you can, i suggest you get in the habit of working hard now because college is a lot harder than high school. you can sit and do nothing and turn in crap for homework in high school but college you have to push yourself to study and homework is rarely taken as a 100.

What you want to focus on now is keeping up your GPA, doing some good extra curricular activities (like the French Club or something academic related). Also start researching scholarship programs and their requirements.

Start by taking the PSAT. Really focus on your grades, and try to incorporate some EC’s. Start considering possible colleges you’d like to apply to, and do a little research on the types of classes you should take to get into the colleges you want to go to. It’s never too early to start planning

First off what is a good college to you? Our state school, University of IL is one of the best for engineering. And IL State University is excellent for a teacher’s degree. You can get a good education without going to an ivy league school
Keep your grades up. Take honors and AP classes junior year. Try to hold a leadership position in clubs or activities (like being president of spanish club)
Start now studying for the ACT. Take it early junior year, so you can do one retake. Most students score higher the second time.

No, I would just study better and practice for the SAT and ACT. I would join more clubs or a sport. Good Luck!

No, I didn’t even want to go to college until I was a junior and now I’m at a good university.

Join some clubs and keep your grades up and you will be fine. Visit some schools your junior year so you have an idea where you want to go by the time you are a senior when you have to apply (unlike me).
