From your perspective an officer kills therefore the judge has no job.
You are wrong there are more bad cops then good. If you had no complaints it is only because you have not been on long enough. People hate cops,because of this reason.
I just thought I’d give you my opinion on your video….first of all….maybe you should talk to someone in the Oakland Crime Unit to find out that he had a gun under his body with drugs….yeap…not public record is that…also he has since been proven that he raped 13 people…that’s right after they put his DNA throw the system he was a positive match on a few unsolved rapes, he’s not been the best law abiding citizen..has he!!! I guess you get more publicity when your dead!!!
I’ve seen the video a few times now. For the life of me, I cannot believe that in front of hundreds of people, that the officer would do something like this on purpose.
As a Cop I agree the Cop was wrong. But putting all Cops in the same category is wrong as well. In my nineteen years of law enforcement I’ve never been accused of abuse of power, nor have I given cause to a complaint. There are more good cops than bad. Mr. Grant’s death is tragic and hopefully that person who was wearing the uniform pays for his crime.

my great hope is that the cop gets thrown in prison for life … until *YOU* get robbed at gunpoint sometime, then you’ll be the first person calling 9 1 1. I Everyone I know who has been mugged or robbed has been robbed by young black men. Yet no outrage, or outrage about endless black kids shooting each other night after night in our cities. Are all blacks criminals–of course not. But I agree with Jessie Jackson and would rather have white kids walking behind me at night than black kids.

This isn’t about the race its about what is right/ wrong in our law enforcement.The only commotion you hear is the riders on the train. They are upset about what is taking place.Besides the police are supposed to be trained to handle hostile situation without “killing” anyone. In addtion there was control of the entire group b4 Mr. Grant was killed. Gangsta rap was just another tool of separation. For all you fake hip hop fans, there was a renaissance time for knowledge and unity (Public Enemy, X-Clan, Brand Nubian And the Stop The Violence Movement). That wasn’t cool for White America, and it was a Jew (Paul Rosenberg) who decided Gangsta rap. Look it up you ignorant chumps. Police violence against minorities is as old as this country. Fighting the police, arguing and resisting arrest. Now anybody would have been taken down like that no matter of race. I seen wiggers get the same treatment. And everyone knows that part of being gangsta is to wear baggy clothes to make it easier to conseal weapons. Now most of you black kids dress like your favorite gangsta rappers with the baggy clothes so how is anyone supposed to tell if your just playing the part or your the real thing. And another thing about gangsta rap is all about having no respect towards the law. But we all have to obey the law whether your white, black, chinese, etc. But I see most of you like the kids on this video.
That shooting was an accident, maybe that cop shouldn’t have had his gun out while he was cuffing that kid but with all those other kids yelling and screaming at them is it any wonder why those police were so nervious. I mean everyone knows most of the black youths especially in L.A. like gangsta rap, and we all know that part of gangsta rap is about wanting to kill cops. “Fuck da Police” comes to mind here. And I’ve heard black kids talk about wanting to kill a cop like its their life ambition.

The cop was a moron but there was no ill intent. You have to be pretty paranoid to think a cop would really execute someone in front of witnesses. If they had put the guy in a cop car and taken him to the river and shot him then you could claim ill intent. This was a moron cop that did his job poorly and took a life.
religionisacrutch..did u watch the video??there were witnesses and there was video evidence that this guy did nothing to provoke the police..yea there was a fight on board, however, the police had all the people involved clearly handcuffed and lined up against a wall…for mehserle to pull out a gun and shoot Oscar was no accident..that was stupidity and ill intent.
