Fafsa and financial aid question: What if i want to change schools?

As long as you complete this semester, you won’t be required to pay back any money. Financial aid is disbursed by the semester, not the year. You will still qualify for your financial aid disbursement next semester if you transfer schools, as long as the school participates in financial aid. The amount you will get will depend on the school’s cost of attendance. If you are eligible to receive $2,400 next semester, but the community college’s cost of attendance is only $1,700… then, you’ll only receive $1,700.
