Your score on AP exams is unlikely to affect admissions decisions. Assuming you at least passed the class through your school, any AP class is a good mark on your transcript, as it shows you’re already capable of completing college level coursework. Don’t worry too much about it.
If you want to retake the exam, there’s nothing stopping you from taking it every year until you graduate, since all you have to do to take an exam is sign up and pay up. Of course, there may be no point if the schools you’re looking at don’t give credit for AP classes.

The scores and the grades are two different things. Your grade is probably more important in the acceptance process. This contributes to your GPA which is one of the many factors schools use to decide who to accept.
The score is used to determine whether you will receive “credit” for this class. A 3 or higher will sometimes give you college credit for the class depending on the school and your major. Most schools do not give any credit for 2s or 1s. This credit can be a big deal as it can save your tutition and let you take more interesting classes earlier.
The scores are a factor in the admittance process, but not that big of a deal as seniors do not get their AP schools until after they have been accepted and committed to a college/univ. so schools can’t count rely on them that much for admissions.
You can get the score cancelled, but I have heard that schools like to see that you tried the exam. If you gave the College Board college names to send your scores to, they may have already sent them.
Hope this helps

I was going to ask a similar question myself – I am fascinated to have the answers.
